Hello, my name is Gennifer, I am 26 years old and almost 3 months post op from my lap band surgery. I have lost 21 pounds so far with only one 1cc fill. My next fill is the 24th of August. I live in a very small town in Missouri and nobody that I know of has had this surgery in my town. I use these online forums as my support group. I am from St Louis! I was banded on July 20th and I have lost 20 pounds. This site is the BEST! Just get your feet wet by reading the new posts, and some old ones. There is a ton of information here. Just be sure to ask your Dr. about any huge decisions.

Congratulations on getting banded. I don't always get time to come here but this site has been a wonderful help with a lot of supportive people.

Welcome! I agree with everyone else, this site is full of very nice, helpful people. I appreciate that it has a positive vibe. I've found other sites where all they seem to do is complain about their band. So, I'm glad you're here!
