Hi from Michigan!

Hello Everyone!

I'm new around here. I'm 38 years old and weigh a whopping 285 pounds. I'm 5'8" and am still in the pre-surgical phase.

I have had my orientation, the meeting with the internist, a surgical consult, and today I completed my tests: bloodwork, urinalisys and my endoscopy. Now all I'm waiting for is a surgery date. I'm SO excited!

I started the process (orientation) on July 31. And I anticipate being banded before the end of September. I'm so excited. Since my surgical consult I have been exercising daily, trying to get my Protein in and I'm drinking tons of water! My surgeon has asked me to lose 15 pounds before surgery, and I've already taken off 5.

Just wanted to say HI, introduce myself a little and mentally prepare for the surgery. How long does it typically take once you've done all your pre-surgial tests?

Thanks in advance!

Nathalie

Congrats on your decision and welcome to LBT.

Are you self pay or are you covered by insurance?

Self pay usually moves faster the insurance approval.
