Why Is The Pain Getting Worse?

Today I start my 3 weeks post op (Surg on 4/16) and this pain in my left side is gettng worse. I was fine until I vomited and it felt like something was tearing inside me. Initially thought it was pulled muscle but it is worse. To the ponit I cannot bend over or sleep on my sides. I'm not sure what is going on but have appt. with surgeon in the morning to check it out. Hope they didn't leave anything inside me they were not suppose to.

Well, I had to be readmitted to the hospital last week on Wednesday. Was dehydrated and constipated. Wife said I looked like hell. A couple of days of IV fluids helped and was discharged on Friday. Friday night was hell.

I don't think I really understood the need to drink slowly throughout the day and try to get your protein in.

I feel a little better today, but definitely not normal. Thought or smell of food makes me nausaus, but hopefully that will pass. I'm not sleeping well either. Drinking about 4 oz of water an hour with 3 very small meals.

Crossing my fingers it gets better over time. 24may12 will be 3 weeks post op.
