Connecticut Sleevers?

I havent found many CT sleevers on here. A few and they have been wonderful to me. I find that the support groups are few and far between and would love to develop something more!

  • Hello! Lindsay here from Collinsville. I'm just starting my journey but I will be having my surgery at Midstate. Nice to see some CT people on here!

  • Day 3 of my pre-op diet. I think the tide is finally turning. The last two days have been tough but the scale is responding already!

I live in CT too. I have not been scheduled for my sleeve yet, but I have finished all of the prelims. I too have Dr. Gedeon and like him very much. Bristol Hospital is supposed to have one of the best weight loss surgery programs in the state. I hope to be sleeved by the end of August. This waiting is for the birds!

Nancy, welcome! Luckily the waiting is typically 2 weeks or less (they can have up to 30 days I think, but most are quicker to approve). Good luck!

If you are in contact with a surgeon/bariatric center, they usually have support groups who welcome pre and post op patients.....if not, any hospital that does bariatric surgery usually offers support groups.

HTH.....good luck!

I am in the Waterbury area...

I love your nick name.....is that a nod to scrapbooking?

Crosabi where did you go

.

I went to griffin hospital.

I started at Yale about 2 years ago but they wouldn't even let me meet the drs till I finished my 6 months nutritional visits n I was disappointed with the whole process there.

Yes I can understand that I wanted to do the surgery a while back myself but got discourage with the way the set up was too but when I changes medical doctors they mad it easy for me and It didn't seem long or so bad I'm the end.
