2Nd Day Post Op..running Slight Fever

Hi Everyone,

I was sleeved on 4/10. and since last night I have a slight fever of 99. I am able to drink some liquids (about 25-30 oz)

From others experience did you have a slight fever a couple days later? Also, the Nurses mentioned that this can be normal as your body is starting to fight the stress from surgery? At what point should I start to worry?

Also, the temp has not gone past 99, and it does go down after liquid tylenol.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

-Soon

This is very true in regards to elevated temperature post op. shouldn't last long though and it shouldn't be too high. Let your doctor know if it continues or elevates. Feel better!!

If your temp goes up or you have other symptoms that seem out of the norm, only then would I be concerned.
