Set my date, God I hope this works

Just met with Dr Ayloo at uic today. She was great, the support staff ie reception and aides ect were horrible. I just keep telling myself," I want a great pair of hands". On for Aug 17th, Start my 2 week fast (Can i do that?!)

I know this is going to be hard, but it is going to be so worth it when I can

1. Wear jeans

2. go up stairs without being breathless

3. Keep up with my kids

4. Feel sexy again

5. so many more....

Any help on getting through the fasting stage?

Choose to look at it as a character-building, or a character-proving experience...it is a great thing to give yourself the gift of knowing you can make it through a hard time.

On a more practical level, when I am on liquids, I make sure I have protein drinks, water, juice, etc., all throughout the day...it keeps the hunger away. You will feel hungry, so find a good distraction, also...but remember why you're doing it, and that will give you strength!

Yes I have help to get you thru it!!!!!

Read the five things you listed above!!!:clap2:

I think I will print it and post it on the fridge. (you are an inspiration:D )

I will be banded in on August 1st.

You are absolutly right.

I can not wait until I can put on a pair of the jeans they have now the hipsters or whatever they call them.. I might even get my bellybutton pierced just to say I can. Why not! huh lol

This will keep me motivated. To be able to walk upstairs and not have to catch my breath.

Thanks for the post.
