I remember when...

I remember when I last looked great. I was 17 and thought I was fat. When was the last time you looked great? Got a pic? Share it!

I posted once about a picture that my grandson saw of me, it was in a framed collage of many pictures and he pointed to this one, out of all the ones he saw and said, 'Gamaw!' I was stunned. I look enough like I did in the picture for him to recognize me? Wow! Anyway, I know I'll never look this young again, but maybe just getting back to looking like me will help.

 lol cashley.. thread killer. i know the feeling, but i don't think it's you. so many of us just don't have those pictures. :scared: I so often kick myself for not having BEFORE pictures, before I ever became overweight.

I love your pics, btw, you're a gorgeous woman!

Awwwww Shucks!!! ~~Blushin~~ Thanks Leatha_G....

When I get to goal I want one of those cool tavern wench outfits like DonnaB (pretty sexy... I think guys dig that look :scared: )

OMG you are soo beautiful and sooo THIN! why nobody never told us then that we had a greaaaat body?? why we didn't have a little self-confidence?

Cathy you have such a great legs and in the photo with your 1st car you look like Princess Dianna :huggie: :huggie:

my God you were all soo THIN!

Man, I wish I had some of my old pictures scanned in. I remember when I was wearing a 34 waist jeans, and thought that I was the fattest in fat land. Yeah. Now, my goal is to be in 36 waist jeans. Hmmm.

You know everyone has been saying that we don't realize how thin we are when we were there and that is soo true.

But I did have one "weight related blessing" and that was I got back down to goal in 2002 and stayed there for about 9 months.... it was heaven and I appreciated every second of it. When I started gaining I fought so hard to stay down but my life style (traveling for my job) and time constraints took me from exercising and the weight just fell back on. I gained over 90 pounds in a year.

But I remember... what it was like.

I went looking back through my photos to find a "goal" photo when I decided to have the sugery - I realized as l looked at them that in each one I can remember thinking "god I'm fat" "i look terrible" etc. I was wearing a size 10 in some of them! What I would do to be there again!

What I realized was the last time I felt good about my body was when I was 18 year old. My daughter was 1 year old (yes I got an early start) AND I had a tan!! I'll find the pic and scan it in.

*laughs* I hate pics of myself, but last night I got a bit tipsy (I know, you're all shocked about that.. oh shup. *laughs*) Anyway, I'll be darned if I didn't end up with pics I actually am happy to look at. In fact, I'm posting them all over the place. *laughs again* Soo... I did this little experiment and ya know.. There just might be some hope for me yet. Another 80 pounds and a little PS on that turkey gobbler I've got going on there, and hm... maybe.. just maybe there's some life left in this old girl afterall. *winks*
