2 Weeks Without Any Weight Loss

I had my VSG surgery on Dec. 20, 2011. I have not had any weight loss since the first week. How long does it take to start seeing any significant weight loss? I have only lost 12 pounds since the surgery (16 pounds since I started losing weight), but I was hoping for more. Is anyone else having this issue?

I think that you are doing great. According to your ticker, I'm assuming that your BMI is lower than most of ours. Just make sure that you are following your doctor's instructions and you'll be fine

  • I'm having the same problem. Lost 18 lbs the first week then it stopped. I asked my doc at my follow up appt. and he said that is completely normal. He said now that I'm starting to a little more regu

  • Your body is adjusting to all of the changes and recovering from surgery. Just be patient and you will see the loss. Most of us have hit a stall here or there. The weight will come off again! Star

Hi,

This is great news. Now if this ever happens again, you do know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel! We all have had these. Yeah! keep doing what is working for you.

Hugs,
