Double Ear Infection

I came down with a double ear infection over the holidays (probably the after effects of a cold earlier in December) but I called the surgeon's office today and let them know about it and they said as long as I wasn't experiencing any fever I was ok to stick to my surgery date. I'll be finishing up a 10-day run of antibiotics the day before surgery but I guess that's ok. I'm glad not to have to put off surgery but a little worried at the same time.

You should be fine by then. I feel for you. I had ear infections as a child and I have had a few as an adult. One of the most painful things. Get well soon.

Thanks! It seems to have turned a corner over last night. I still have the "plugged ears" sensation but it doesn't hurt when I put my head down any more. I talked to my insurance case nurse too and she said the same- as long as I wasn't experiencing any fever or worsening symptoms I'd be fine to go ahead.
