Ok....Really, I want to soak in my tub sooooooo bad!!!! It's been 20 days since my surgery, my incisions are healed minus 2 tiny scabs on 2 of them. Anyone know if I can take a bath??????

I thought the Doc told me a month but I can't remember and online it said 2 weeks.

Everything I've read is 3 weeks. I would just call your doctor and ask. Can't hurt

Definitely call your doctor. I was allowed to soak in the tub after all my incisions were healed and that pesky one for my drain seemed to take forever! I still haven't been back in the pool or the hot tub, but that's because I've been too busy for either. I'm in Florida, so it's definitely been warm enough for them.

I hope you get to take that soak soon. I adore my warm tub baths!

Yep, it's not the amount of TIME it's the quality of the closure on the incisions. If you're slow at healing and the incisions - especially the largest one in the typical laproscopic VSG - need to be totally closed, NOT seeping and at least well scabbed over. Even at that avoid soaking to long and picking at the scab. Mine popped open a little after about 3 weeks and it took a few weeks more to close all the way over. You can barely see it at all now with 12 months behind it.
