Hey everyone I finally got my approval from BCBS, I am doing my happy dance and smiling hard. It took 3 weeks with faxing back and forth with my surgeon’s office and the insurance company but I finally got it!!! Now I am waiting for the scheduler to call me from the doctor’s office and I am going to keep calling them until I have my surgery date.

Congrats on your approval, I am currently awaiting approval from BCBS as well, been waiting since 10-18-11.

You have to call BCBS to make sure they have everything. I found out the hard way and waited 2 weeks before calling and they told me the doctors office forgot some items. I would have gotten approved sooner but the papers had to be resubmitted. So call yourself and find out your status.
