Lots of people gain weight from the surgery, I've heard some gain as much as 10 lbs.

Don't worry, this will come off fast. Weigh yourself in 2 weeks and you'll see (your still swollen inside).

Hugs and don't panic :)

Did you spend the night in the hospital? How long were you on IV fluids? I spent the night and was on IV's the whole time. My understanding is there is a lot of glucose in them. Between that and the constant intake of fluids, weight gain is going to happen. I weighed 7 pounds more when I left the hospital than when I went in. The good news is, that weight will probably come off in your first week at home.

ohh honey,

Don't let it get you down. You just had surgery, your body is healing. Let it heal, then when you feel better, worry about the weight. I know its disheartening to gain after the band, but its water weight and will come right back off..
