I am 11 days post op and today I am experiencing a sharp pain on my left side. I think it is where my port is located. Is this normal or should I be worried? It has been there all day today. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Don't panic. Sharp pains came and went for a few months before I felt right in that area. Even now I get an occasional pulling sensation.

If the area is hot, red or has drainage, call your doctor immediately. If not, take some liquid tylenol and give it time.

Found a wonderful doctor in San Antonio who will do your fills even if you got your band in Mexico. His name is Dr. Jorge Rincon. He was so nice to me. He saw me last month. I was lost so he gave me directions to his office, waited for me to arrive, and went out of his way to help me out. He is the nicest doctor I have met. If anyone needs to get fills I recommend him.
