FINALLY! The scale moved yesterday, .5lb and another 1.5lbs this morning. Today I'm 4 weeks out from surgery and I've lost 22lbs including the 2 lbs from this week. I have been on pause for about week and half. I'm really excited because as my own personal goal I wanted to be at least 26lbs lighter by my 1-month follow-up at the surgeons office next Wednesday. That'll be 10% of my original weight gone.
Even though I've read enough about stalls on the boards being in one eludes all rational thought to the point of being consumed by ways and thoughts on how to get the scale moving again. I know that folks say don't focus on the scales or pounds, yadda, yadda, but as those who've been here know that's darn near impossible. But the good news to that is while on pause I did lose inches, because I went shopping in my closet and was pleased with the results, especially as I am returning to work on Monday.
Also like many I HATE THE GYM, EXERCISING in all forms. However I know it is an essential part of the program so I am trying to be faithful and work it. Having said that I have found a method that is easing the pain of spending an hour hill walking on the treadmill greatly. My e-reader and a good book. The hour passes fairly quickly, thank goodness!
