My introduction

Hi all,

I am a new member here. I have had my band for a little over 1 1/2 years and I love it! I have lost about 90 pounds so far (not sure exactly where I'm at right now since I have a cast on my foot and have no idea how much it weighs!) I had my surgery in Mexico with the wonderful Dr. Kuri and couldn't be happier with the results so far. I'm hoping to lose at least another 30 pounds then I'll see how things look at that time to decide if I should lose any more.

Hi Darcy,

Thanks for the welcome. The foot thing...it's an old injury. I fractured my ankle a few years ago and it never has healed right. My podiatrist wants to operate on it and fuse some bones together which doesn't sound like something I want to have done, so I convinced him to try putting a cast on it for a while to see if that would help before we decided to do surgery. I have 2 weeks and 3 days left to wear it then we'll see what happens.

Welcome!!! I was banded on 8-20-03 and have lost 55 lbs; want to lose another 30....Sorry to hear about the foot thing. The surgery doesn't sound like a fun one. Hope everything goes ok and Congrats on the weight loss...
