Any recommendations for VSG surgeons in Canada

Recommended Posts

The wait in canada is super long if you are doing it through provincial insurance (something like 2 years) if you do it on your own and pay out of pocket then the surgery is about 16,000. My cousin wanted to do it and I suggested that she go to mexico to do it. With a reputable surgeon it is about 8,000 not including air tickets. I'm having my surgery tomorrow in Dubai with a dr called Abdulsalam Al taie. He's iraqi born and trained in Great Britain. He's a very reputable surgeon having done over 900 surgeries and was one of the first to do it here in Dubai..... He's charging 40,000 AED. I wish you the best!

Dr Gagner in QB is brilliant and I have had phone conversations with him. You can email him for a quote and he will call you. He is one of the leaders in WLS and everyone just raves about him. Good luck.

Thanks guys. will look at the website.

Italianlady13, 40,000 Dhs. it is not bad for Dubai. I have discussed the op with my doctor and he thinks I am not a good candidate at 213 pounds so I am confused.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
