Okay... I keep checking my body fat % through this website which asks you to enter in measurement data. It just now told me I'm at 27.22% and according to the charts I'm smack in the middle of Acceptable Body Fat %... WHHOOOHOOOO!!!

That said, it IS just a website and they can be a little deceiving. I don't DISbelieve it, but how can I say it's true when its just a website... they don't really know? BTW here is the website: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/

They have tons of different options to check out. It is very interesting and I think they could be really could be close in my case...

I am going to search out a Bod Pod in my area. I'd like to get my body fat % within the athletic range!! That would be really nice :) I'm thinking 19%... LMAO... yeah right.

I was surprised to find out I am in the middle of Acceptable - I thought I would still be OBESE. I guess my head hasn't caught up to how much weight I've lost. My BMI still calculates me as obese, but in 10 more pounds I will be just overweight. My % is 27.5%. Another cool thing to track.

When I hit goal, I am going to go get underwater weighed at the Cooper Clinic in Dallas.

I don't know if I would trust this thing. It says I have a 27.5% body fat percentage also, and I know I put my measurements in correctly. Just my .02 cents.

Yea, this shocked me too... I am 27.8 so therefore 'acceptable' but my BMI is still 32.something... confused or what!! When I look at my tummy it doesn' look acceptable with out clothes on ...lol... perhaps the bod pod thing is the best way to measure?! =]

I was planning on going to the one at the Gold's Gym in Vacaville for my six month anniversary mid-month. Maybe we could meet up?

Sorry to say that none of those BF calculators are accurate. They might give you an idea but I've seen a lot of them that were really way off. You need a real measuring device.

When is it? That would be fun! :) Here's the location map for the Bod Pod... pretty sparse...

My anniversary is the 13th, but anytime mid-month is fine. I figured I would get it done at six months and again at a year.

There used to be a Bod-Pod setup at UC Davis but I don't see it listed anymore.

I know... I was hoping there was. It looks like the closest on is at Berkeley! Well I'm still willing to check it out if you are. Let me know. :) I really want to know because I truly believe that my body fat % is lower than my BMI says I should weigh.

ETA: Sorry I do see the one at Vacaville Golds Gym - so yeah we can definitely do that.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
