heartburn after surgery help

I am five days post op from the sleeve I am always getting heartburn any ideas if i drink water it comes protein drinks if not skim milk based I get heart burn HELP

Did your doc suggest a PPI? I take a Prilosec every night without fail, and it has helped me immensely. If your doc didn't recommend a specific one, you might give the office a call and see what they suggest. I know there are tons of posts on this forum about different medications that folks find useful.
