I finally got the ok and full support from my hubby to go ahead and start this process. I go to my local hospitals free seminar tomorrow to get my paper work an learn all about the procedure... my only question is about the psych eval. What is she going to ask me? I'm so nervous ill say the wrong thing and she will give me the no go! Can anyone give me a heads up on what I will be asked???"

Basically they want to find out if you are going into this with realistic expectations AND more importantly you are able to cope with the changes. If food is how you deal with stress - what will you use after surgery? What support groups do you have (i.e. active in church, attending WLS support groups, your a member of a close knit motorcycle club). What are you going to do when you take food out of the equation? I talked about the death of my father (morbidly obese, died from an enlarged heart) and the support our family received from our church and friends. I also talked about the fact that I am active in Scouts, Choir, love to ride my motorcycle and go camping - they want to make sure food is not your only outlet. Just remain upbeat, talk about your activities you love and how they will be improved by losing weight. Good Luck!
