I will be having my sleeve done in des moines Iowa on Jun13th getting a little nurvous, I had the lap band in for 2 years and it was more trouble then it was worth, taken out in february and ready for the sleeve. Has anyone had any comlications and if so what kinds. How many days were you in the hospital, when were you able to take liquids again?

I was in the hospital two days- the extra day because I couldn't drink enough Fluid to suit them (300ml) but my throat was very sore and swollen. I did find it very hard to drink at first but once home I would set my phone alarm and use the little one ounce cups fro the hospital to keep drinking slowly through the day. I would mark off the little cups on a piece of paper until the day I felt safe starting with a 32 ounce bottle of Water and planning on finishing it.

On day five things turned around and it was much easier to drink.
