I just realized that with all the questions I have been asking everyone here and elsewhere that I forgot to ask how long the surgery takes! So, how long does it take?

If I remember correctly, the VSG takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. When I had my surgery I also had my gallbladder removed and my surgery lasted 90 minutes.

Hi-

I had a lap-band removed, adhesions removed from liver and anterior stomach, and sleeve completed in just under 90 minutes. I was in recovery for over 2 hours, though, becuase I have a hard time waking up from anesthesia. That was a little longer than other folks who had surgery in the same hospital.

The surgery itself is the easiest part - you sleep through the whole thing :-)

Mine was about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Mine was around 3 hours, but my surgery was all done through one incision in my belly button. Which is great because u will never know I had surgery..no scars!! I was the 4th or 5th single incision they had done at this particular hospital, and everything went great!!
