Lapband 1st

I had the Lapband back in October 2007 ~ I am not really happy with my results so far and was wondering if anyone here has had the lapband first but then had the sleeve? Thanks so much for any answers!!

There are a ton of people on the boards here who had the band first and then revised to the sleeve. As linked above there is an entire section on these forums just for that. Take a look there. Everyone here is always willing to answer any questions you have.

Yes, I had the LapBand and now have the sleeve. Sleeve is SO MUCH BETTER. You live your life like a normal person. No horrible food stuck feeling. I just get full fast and have lost almost 70% if my excess weight in 4 months. My doctor was prepared for an open procedure in the event that I had too much scar tissue but all worked out well. I had it laprascopic and did great. Recovery is much more involved than band tho. First couple days are rough but it gets better :) good luck

Hi-

I was also banded in 10/07 - what a coincidence. I got rid of that band about 2 months ago and I couldn't be happier. The recovery is harder, but I am so happy to be free of the foreign object in my body. A side benefit - I am losing weight!! VSG is much more effective for me than the band ever was.
