I had my surgery on April 5 and after two weeks I started to get awfully dizzy with a lighted feeling. Of course my doctor says incease my liquids and I have but it still seems to be there. Does anyone know how long this will last. I am so ready to feel normal again. Also, what foods seems to work well at this point. I am scared to try any meat but vegetables seem to go down well.

I know your doctor already told you this but if you are dehydrated you can be light-headed. You may also need to look at how much Protein and calories you are getting each day as your body needs the calories for energy. I know I am struggling to get my calories in each day so you might try calculating that if you haven't already. I know that you should NOT be dizzy and/or lightheaded so good luck with this.

I was sleeved April 4th. I was also feeling dizzy a couple of weeks out. I was getting in my Protein and Water but not any electrolytes. I started drinking Gatorade G2 (it's low sugar) and added some salt to my Soups. I felt immediately better and haven't been dizzy since. I'm also recently very concious of getting in enough potassium, Lite Minute Maid OJ with Calcium is a good choice, also low in sugar.

Happened to me about 4 weeks out...right as I was returning to work (of course). Always happened in the morning after sleeping all night with no fluids. I now drink a glass of diet gatorade (called G2) and it really helps. I still occasionally get this feeling and it's my sign that I am not drinking enough. Happens mostly if I bend down then stand back up. Hope this helps! Liquids are so important!!!!:D

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
