Carb Overload?

So I was 13 days post-op on Easter. Since I knew that I would be starting my mushy diet the next day, I decided to fix myself a plate and eat dinner with the rest of my family. I had a teaspoon of mashed potatoes, a teaspoon of potato casserole, a few pieces of fried okra (I know not a mushy, but I chewed it very well), and a nibble of a deviled egg. Since all that went down good, I decided to try a very small small nibble of ham. I chewed that until there was nothing left. I did feel myself get full. I know it was alot of carbs, but dang it, it was a holiday! At least that's what I keep telling myself. Anyways, fast forward to yesterday, Monday. I had horrible diarrhea. I mean it was one of those DO NOT TRUST YOUR FARTS kind of day. I didn't cramp and it didn't hurt. But I would hear very strange noises and then feel the rumble and the pressure, and I just knew I had to run to the bathroom. Sometimes it wasn't diarrhea, just very explosive gas, other times it was pure water. Could this have been due to my carb binge?
