What I ordered vs What I ate

For those of you wondering what you can eat after the surgery. .....

I had my surgery in January....almost 3 mos ago. Went to Chili's and ordered chicken Fingers. First picture is how it arrived, second pic is what was left....alot. I ate the two little chicken fingers on the bottom of the plate and a bite of one on the top. Ate about 4 french fries and 3 bites of corn. It took about 20 min. About 10 min later, to be completely honest, I had to use the restroom to rid myself of the last bite I took. (the bite of the chicken)

This meal was actually pretty good as for volume of food I was able to eat. I've learned to slow down, and more importantly, I've learned it is not important to clean the plate. Pre-surgery I could've eaten it all plus a side salad and two glasses of iced tea. Now, just the food I mentioned and maybe 4 sips of the tea. Am I upset? NO! I must admit a month ago, this would've upset me. Now, the "need" to eat all the food is gone. It's a wonderful thing.

I went out for mexican today at my regular place. I ate 4 chips, 1/3 cup beans and cheese, some wonderful salsa and a heaping tablespoon of Guacamole. I brought some containers to put the leftovers in... dinner for two more days! I'm such a cheap date.
