Got My Date Woo Hoo

I finally received my surgery date for my Sleeve it 04/13/11, I am excited and scared at the same time. Did anyone else feel like this? I am currently on my pre-op diet and its not as bad as I though it would be. The first couple of days I was really hungry at time but that has seem to pass, I am currently on day five of my pre-op diet. I can tell some of the weight is coming off with just this small pre-op diet, cant wait till the surgery its going to mean even bigger weight loss. Aslo please feel free to list any pre-op diet Snacks that you guys like, list below is my currect diet:

Morning --- EAS shake 17g Protein

lunch --- EAS shake 17g protein

snack --- salad or broth

dinner --- 4oz chicken, Fish and unlimited Vegies

sanck --- Bluebell popsicle sugar free

and sometimes when I still hunger I eat more broth

Congrats on your upcoming date! biggrin.gif Feeling nervous is totally normal and thinking WTF after is also very common (I certainly went through it). I didn't have to do a pre-op diet, as my BMI was only 30 and any less I couldn't have had the op. I don't have pre-op snacks to recommend, but I strongly recommend getting a pill crusher if you're going to have Nexium (which a lot of people on here do seem to get).

Nexium tastes gross and gets stuck in your teeth if you chew it, so I say a pill crusher is a MUST.

Anyway good luck.

Hip-hip-hooray! I'm having mine on 04/26/11 and I am sooo ready! I start my pre-op diet on Thur and I'm trying to get myself psyched for that! Good luck and I hope all goes well.
