Offically Banded

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am finally banded. It has been a long two year process but I made it. I was banded 6-20-06 by Dr. Robert Powell in Dallas. The surgery went well but because my blood sugar spiked after surgery I had to stay in the hospital overnight but eveything is ok now so they let me come home today. I am still a little sore and I am staying close to my pain medication but everything seems to be doing fine.

:clap2: Welcome to Bandland! :clap2:

Get lots of rest, even when you think you feel up to more strenuous stuff, take it easy and don't overdo. Walk all you can, and sip sip sip that Water.

Hope you have a speedy recover and a very exciting band journey! Keep us posted on your progress!

thanks. It was so much better than i thought it would be. I was worried because I did not really follow my pre op diet but appartently the doc did not care. (which I knew, which is why I has such a hard tme sticking to it)LOL . Thanks for all of the support. It is very exctiing.

Welcome to wonderland. The first weeks are touch and easy...weird to say that but it's true. Just follow the rules to the letter and you'll be fine...whenever you are sick to death of soup...come here and vent!

I'm looking forward to next week when I can have real food..
