Hi everyone,
I'm relatively new to the boards but have been snooping around for a while. I'm getting sleeved on Feb 24th and am uber excited about it =)
Anyway, my boss (who is actually very supportive of what I'm doing) is a physical therapist who specializes in lymphedema treatments. She told me to wear compression garments head-to-toe at all times as quickly as I can post-op to prevent the saggy skin syndrome. She said her sister had bypass and lost close to 300 lbs and because of wearing the garments, only had about an inch of pinchable skin at her belly after all was said and done. I thought that was quite amazing. Has anyone had experience with this? Because of how fast our bodies change, I was trying to find cheaper alternatives than the actual post-op compression suits that cost $100 plus. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
