So...I board a plane in the morning to head down to Mexico for my surgery. It still seems unreal. I can't really wrap my head around the fact that it's tomorrow. I am going through all the motions getting everything ready. But I am doing it in a bit of a haze. I keep thinking about my surgery like it's way out in the future. Then suddenly I realize it's in two days and I panic.
I think my body is acutely aware of the fact of what's going on as I have severe anxiety and have had an upset stomach all day. Just because my mind is trying to block it out....doesn't mean my body wants to cooperate. LOL
I can't wait until the surgery part is behind me and I can start dealing with my life afterwards. It seems like I have been so focused on this surgery that I can't think of anything else. I spend way too much time on these boards and way too much energy thinking about the procedure.
I wish that I had someone to go with me to give me some moral support. I will probably freak out the night before while by myself in the hotel room. Oh well...the wheels are in motion. YIKES.
