**How You Doin"?**

rose.gifI am wondering how everyone is feeling these last few weeks especially those who had the surgery recently. I am two weeks out and feel fine I am still not up to the protein requirement I should be getting last night I tried to desperately chew up a small piece of salmon and turn it into water before swallowing and it went down like a BRILLO pad! What feels good is broth, jello, water, mostly cold stuff. I don't like the stuffed feeling after cream of wheat, and am eating a lot of mushed up papaya(I figured it would save me $ on papaya enzyme pills). I am doing okay with the multi vitamins BUT cannot stand the other stuff I am supposed to be taking. The C and the B12, I am looking forward to seeing my surgeon next week for my check up as I am curious to "waht's going on!!" on the inside. Anyone start to feel thinner? Lighter? Happier? I'd love to hear where you're at:)

Hi BZ, I was sleeved on 11/29 and I was pretty much in the same situation food wise as you described until Christmas. Maybe it was more of a "mind over matter" deal, but I was able to eat well on that day without getting that back of the throat stuck feeling or having to burp constantly after every meal. I also recently started taking Syntrax nectar (I ordered a sample pack from the company) and have been drinking two packets a day mixed with crystal light and water. That guarantees that I get in at least 46 g of protein and my water intake has increased as well. I had stopped taking my vitamins because I threw up after taking one a couple of weeks ago. But I know I need them, I feel winded after a little activity, so today I vowed to get back on track with vitamins. I pulverized my multi Vitamin and luckily it's stayed down. The B12 and Iron pills are smaller and not as chalky as the multi or Calcium so those haven't been the problem.

Everyone comments on how much thinner I look and how good I look, but I have a hard time seeing it myself. It is awesome to be able to wear clothes that I haven't worn in a looooong time and now that the eating is getting easier I do feel good about the decision to be sleeved.

Good luck with your journey. I'm looking forward to celebrating our results together!
