Someone noticed I have lost weight

So someone I know asked me today if I lost weight? This person doesn't know about the surgery. I was in a group of people, and one other friend heard her say it too. I sort of just said "maybe a little"...I didn't want to have a big long conversation about it.

Of course this was at a cookie exchange party... So I made a crack about it being hard this time of year to stay focused. (AND THAT IS THE TRUTH!) I am struggling with all the goodies. I need to get them OUT of my house!!!

Anyway, I had mixed feelings. It was nice that someone noticed but then I don't want to talk about it. Aargh.

Definitely NSV time ! ! ! I'm with you on getting the goodies out of the house. . . It's been a tough couple of months for me, but luckily, the sleeve is keeping me in check.

Congratulations on being NOTICED!! I think that's great. I think that you answered just perfectly.... after all, everyone worries about the weight creep during the holidays, and so dieting in preparation for it makes perfect sense.

I don't even plan to tell all of my own family and friends about my WLS... only a couple of close confidants who have gone through the whole up/down struggle of getting the WLS approval (it's been years in the making).

I only plan to say that I've finally found the plan that works for me, which is high-Protein, low fat and portion control. At work, I told the boss I was having a hernia fixed.
