Liquid Diet after fill??

I have a question for all of you.......I had my first fill yesterday and my doctor told me to be on liquids for 2 weeks. Is this normal?? I have heard that some doctors only suggest it for a couple of days. I would love to hear what your doctors are saying or what some of you have done. I have a 10cc band with only 1.6cc in it. I was wondering if it's liquids and mushies or just liquids. Please let me know.

THanks!!

I had my first fill last week and was told to stay on liquids for a day or two, followed by another day or two on mushies, then back to normal. Two weeks on liquids after a fill? Doesn't sound normal to me.

I agree, I just had my first fill and did liquids the first day then tried mushies the next and then felt fine. Two weeks seems a little overly cautious...are you sure you didn't misunderstand--maybe your doc meant two days??

My first fill instructions were two days of liquids, a few with softer foods then back to normal eating - check with doc again as 2 weeks seems a bit much but you should also follow your docs instructions over mine - smile. take care.

My fill day Dr says liquids day of fill back to normal foods 24 hours since I was poked. So I normally have lunch, get the fill the liquids until lunch the next day

Two weeks?!! :omg: Wow, that seems extreme. I had my first fill on Monday. My doctor told me liquids for the rest of Monday and Tuesday. Then mushies on Wednesday and back to normal on Thursday.
