I all....I'm wondering something I heard from my NUT. (looking at a Jan surgery). I take high blood pressure meds, thyroid meds, metformin (PCOS) and a Birthcontrol pill....she said something about needing to get these in a chewable form for after surgery????? Anyone hear of this and is it possible???? Also I'm over 400lbs and my surgeons general pre-op diet is for three days of liquids before surgery....what do all think of this? YES - the pharmacist said to absoulutely NOT crush the Pristique...my doc prescribed a liquid prozac. I will probably take that for about 3 mos and then go back to my original.

I wondered and worried about the same thing because it clearly says do not crush on the label...I do not want to go off and start that process again..have you heard anything so far ?

Went I went in I was on 4 blood pressure meds and Metformin for PCOS. When I left the hospital my bp was so low I did not have start my blood pressure meds again till 3 weeks and I am only one, that the pharmacy said I can crush. I am not taking metforim at all because my blood sugar is rarely about 78 on so little food.

I took pills whole from day one. I spread them out and took my time. it was a little difficult at first.
