Blood thinners and bruising

I have to take them for 10 days post op, I am on day 5 and I have bruises every where! One that especially annoying is on my wrist where they did a blood gas draw day 2 and now the bruise that started out small and round in crawling down my wrist and hurts. Do you think the bruising should be something to worry about or is it normal?

Normal. I was told after my surgery to steer clear of the dentist for at least 3 months if possible due to increased bleeding potential after being given a thinner during surgery. They have a longer residence time in the body than you would expect.
