I have UC, I know that RNY is not a good option for me, but I am trying to find peer reviewed journals to support my appeal. While I have seen this in many insurance co contracts, and on your info about the sleeve appropriatness, I am still unalbe to find peer reviewed journals specifically to RNY not appropriate for inflammatory bowel disease, competent medical evidence? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time.

There may not be any articles on this as most patients with UC tend to be thin from teh disease itself. Your best argument would be that a Roux en Y would not allow for future endoscopies and that is necessary as inflammatory bowel conditions require endoscopies and colonoscopies.
