Okay, got my first fill on Thursday. Not bad really. Of course, (as for any type of needle) I kept my eyes closed the whole time and wouldn't even dare look at the needle (so I still don't even know how big it is!). Like everyone said...no real pain, just some discomfort; especially when the nurse pulled it out.
The downside: I can still eat at least half a horse....so I hope it merely just hasn't "kicked in" yet; otherwise no doubt I'll go back in about 2 weeks for more. I had 5ccs put into my midband (holds 9). Immediately afterwards, I drank my whole bottle of Water in 10 mins with no problem. Yet others who were also there for their first fill could "feel it" and it took them a long time to drink their water and they had gurgling etc. One guy had to have some removed.
So, hopefully I "feel" it soon cause I sure as heck don't now!!!
Overall, not a negative experience.
