I have been waiting for years for my insurance to change to one that covered the lap band. My insurance changed in January but I found out about it before hand and start the 6 month required supervised diet in November so that I would be ahead of the game. Now... I can't wait. But like many others I am eating alot, it's like seperation anxiety or something. But I officially start my pre op tomorrow... I can't wait!! 2 more weeks!..

Just found out this week i am scheduled for 5/20 !!!!! So ready but very nervous as well. I am just so curious as to how much pain/discomfort I will be in immediately following the surgery. I have tried to find others description of it on the webpage but many people seem like it wasnt a big deal at all !! :wink0:

YAY YAY Angie for getting your date set. I hope these next couple of weeks fly by for you.

Congrats to you as well for having a date.

For me, pain was minimal post-op, but I have a high pain threshold. Others experience more pain, and require more pain meds. I was a revision so the most discomfort I experienced was around the area where they removed my port. Other than that, the gas pain from the CO2 gas they use to inflate our abdomen is more bothersome than anything else. Walking helps tremendously, and some found a heating pad helped as well.

Best wishes to you both ! ! !

Congrats on getting your date, I'll be right behind you "5-24-10"....:wink0:

Thanks guys... I can't wait...

Yes! I'm May 21st as well. Some days I sooo excited other days I feel anxious.

I started a protein liquid diet yesterday and whoa is it ever tough.

Good luck to both of us!

I never realized how much carbs and sugar filled you up!! This diet has me hungry

One more week to go! starting to get anxious... the pre-op diet is getting easier though. Maybe it's only because I have a cold, hope I get better quick.

How exciting. Mine is scheduled for May 28th. Where are you having it done?

Hi, Lily24

I am new to the forum but yes, I will be getting sleeved on May 20th. A little nervous but looking forward to it. My surgeon will be Dr Althar in Pace Florida.
