Whoaaaaaaa... Locking threads at will?

Hold up hold up hold up!!!

I live here in America. Here is America we have this little thing called FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

Okay, now with that in mind we also have freedom in choice.

And with THAT in mind, why is it that this forum is so over moderated with threats of locking threads and deleting posts and everything? I agree I haven't been in the "mix" of things lately but I do have the right to speak my mind and I do choose whether or not to participate in those particular posts. I think that everyone in the questioned threads had a right to speak, whether they agreed or disagreed. I think that when you post a thread, you are opening it up to everyone. I think that when you have a thread, it is no longer "yours" but the becomes a part of the overall dynamic of the group. I do agree that some comments were nasty and uncalled for, but I also believe that everyone has a right to speak. Just because one person gets offended, then DON'T read that post (see freedom of choice above).

I think that nilly willy locking a thread because you have been queened or kinged as a moderator is ridiculous. I think a thread should only be locked if it is blatant advertising crap. Otherwise, let it ride. By not dealing with the problems and comments that doesn't SOLVE the issue, it lets it fester on other threads. Let people talk it out back and forth. Is it bickering? Sure it is, but we are a majority of women in this group, so isn't it a bit expected? Women have to hash it out to be done with it.

I think it is all getting taken too seriously.

Let people speak!!! (see above freedom of speech) Good bad and ugly.

There, I have said my 2 cents. Now feel free to come to THIS thread and say what you will because this is MY thread I have donated to THIS group, which makes it OURS.

Damn, can you just imagine ... A Brangelina baby? That baby must be, not only the luckiest kid alive, being a child of 2 sexy, very in demand, rich actors but also a child that's gonna be quite the looker. That child will be a Goddess or God, was it a boy, girl?

Rofl, Oh Heavens To Betsy!

And she had to give birth by cesearean section because of an STD that could be transferred to the baby. Did you all hear that?

Can you say Billy Bob Thornton?

*snickers*

her doc released a statement that it was due to breech presentation...but i think the std storyline is way funner!!

the features that make people "beautiful" are usually slightly exagerated to a point where they stand out from the norm. Jolie has a mouth like a bass. And pitt has those smokey eyes and a very square jaw. The kids that usually come from a joining of two people with very prominent features that make them stand out usually have funky looking kids. The best looking kids usually come from average looking parents, and often times the really good looking kids come from parents who look similar to each other.

Like my kids. ok...just kidding. had to throw it in there. LOL

Hmm...well, since people confuse me and my boyfriend for sister and brother, maybe I'll be lucky and have some pretty babies. Lol, even his grandma on first meeting me made the comment I look like I could be his sister, ugh.

I hadn't heard the Angelina C-Section thing....that's interesting, I wanna see what that kid looks like in a few years, it will not be fair if its the cutest thing in the world, not fair I say.

Ah, that explains my gorgeous kids. ;)

LOL! Emileekay, it isn't fair is it? Here here I say I say...

P'Nut, lol, stop! Just stop it!

people think rob and i are brother and sister all the time, and then still think the kids are ours. how messed up is that?!?! the key is too look like you are related, but not actually be related. cause that is just not right. not right at all.

no one thinks my DH and I are sibs, but they all comment on how much my husband and son look alike. (they are not biologically related) But then again, my sister-in-law frequenly forgets that fact too ;)
