will get sleeve April 8....

Hey, I am new to this site. I will be sleeved on April 8. I am very nervous and also excited. I have only my husband for support. I have not told my kids but I am going to tell them I am having a hiatal hernia repaired. Which I will get done along with the VSG. My family will give me negative and fearful feedback.

So your support would really help. I only have to do a week of liquids and give up caffeine. I didn't think that would be hard but I think it will be the hardest thing to do..

Hi, and welcome to the board. Congrats on getting your date, and we'll be here for you.

Have you tried doing 1/2 decaf with 1/2 regular to help wean yourself off the caffeine. I'm not sure if you're talking coffee, tea or soda. But, I fell in love with some of the herbal, and especially orange tea post-op. I was a 40oz a day coffee drinker so that was kind of tough to give up, but I was able to start having coffee again after a few weeks when getting in liquids wasn't so trying.

Best wishes, and keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks so much....this is my first reply. I will do half and half for awhile. It's coffee and

also that wonderful snapple iced tea..which is very caffeinated indeed.

Anyway thanks for the reply and i'm sure I'll have more to ask as the days get closer.
