I'm only 24! A baby on the forum!

Hi! I'm 27 (as of 4-22) and I am hoping to get my sleeve sometime in the next few months. I am looking to go to Mexico to have Dr. Aceves work his magic. :-) My job doesn't offer insurance so I'm on my own! I think it is great to have this surgery young so that we get the most out of life by being not only skinny but healthy!

I totally agree with you LapGyrl. I looked into Dr. Aceves too, but decided to go with someone else. I can't wait to jump-start a healthy lifestyle with this surgery. We're lucky that we are able to have it done. I'm paying for it myself too, and it's definitely difficult, but totally worth it for a better life.

I'm 27 and had my Vertical Sleeve done on March 22, 2010. My beginning weight was 250 and I'm 212 today, April 30, 2010. The surgery was really easy for me. I was feeling great the day after, it was like I never had anything done and my incision has healed very nicely. I used Dr. Wagner in St. Louis, MO. He performed the surgery with only one incision which was awesome. Oh and I have a very very tiny incision where I had my On-Q pain pump which I highly recommend. He gave me pain meds to take when I got home which I never needed. Please look at www.hoab.org if you are in the St. Louis, MO area. Heck look if you're not. He's a great surgeon.

No sorry I'm 32 this month. I just got insurance approval for my sleeve so just waiting to be scheduled for the surgery.
