Just Got Back from Hospital

I posted on Thursday that I was having trouble drinking my water post-op on day of surgery. Well during the night I became unable to swallow even my own spit. I ended up in emergency Friday morning and have been on IV and cortisone for 3 days. I was pretty much swollen shut from the operation. I am finally home and have to stay on clear liquids for a few more days. The good thing is I have not been hungry and am satisfied from a few spoons of jello. I asked the doctor how often he has sees someone swell up so bad and he said about 2 in every hundred. The last resort would have been for him to go in and unbuckle the band, but thankfully I have avoided that for now!
