Hey everyone! My name is cynthia and I just celebrated my 5 year bandiversary yesterday. I was an FDA trial patient in 1999. I weighed 340 pounds and have lost 210 pounds and have kept it off for about 3 years. The band is the greatest thing that ever happened to me!

Anyway, just thought I would introduce myself!

Swelling can last up to 6 months. Usually after a month or 2 you will get an idea on what you will look like. It's a patience game. I would take a week off for a tummy tuck...What are you thinking of having done?

I need pretty much everything as far as a breast lift, tummy tuck, and my legs are going to need major work. I can wait for everything but my legs. my inner thighs droop down like curtains or something!!! Very very YUCKY!!! I have always carried most of my weight on my hips, butt, and thighs, but it seems like my thighs still have quite a bit of fat on them. I also want to have children in a few years so i can wait until then for my breast lift and tummy tuck.

The reason i asked about the swelling is because my aunt just had a tummy tuck and breast reduction and lift. She is 3- 4 months post op and her stomach looks like she is pregnant!!!! The incisions on her boobs are still opening up and draining. I wonder if it is just her bodies reaction to the surgery or if it is the doctor or maybe both? She did go to a highly recommended doctor. i just want to keep looking around for a better surgeon.

Well, everyone reacts to surgery differently. I would look for another surgeon...Thigh lifts are tricky. Make sure you have a surgeon who is good at that. Do your homework...
