Hi! Welcome! I had my surgery on 12/28/12. My pre-op started 12/14/12 it was the hardest time of the year for me. I had holiday "eating" functions that I had already signed up for and paid for prior to my knowing that 12/28 would be my date of my surgery. I could have postponed my surgery until "after" the holidays. Then I thought well for years I'd been saying I'll diet tomorrow or Monday or "after" the holidays. So I figured it's now or never. Anyway, I'm happy I made the decision to have my surgery in December and not wait until "after" the holidays! I did fine at these holiday parties and stuck to my pre-op diet, wishing you much success on your journey.
