Hello everyone. I've been cruising around this wonderful website for about a month now. I was banded on July 2nd and couldn't be happier. I've battled my weight all of my life. I was put on a diet when I was in the 5th grade and I think I've been on every crazy diet since then. From shots to pills. Finally at age 47 I decided to change my life. I'm 35 pounds lighter now. I have a ways to go but I am off to a great start. I look forward to seeing everyone's progress and reading all of the great advice. I know my band is a tool and it's up to me to make it work. This is the beginning of my new journey and the new me. I am very thankful that my family, friends and my doctor are supporting me 100% and I am also thankful that my insurance paid for my procedure. Take care.
