Hey all, I have been reviewing this app for probably 8 months and reading peoples stories, comments, suggestions but had never got to actually writing something. My surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday, I am excited, nervous, even a little scared. I have been on my pre op diet since last Monday and I am down 14.9 lbs! I am so happy, I have been doing happy dances all over the house. Last week was a little rough, moments I felt like a rattle snake ready to strike. It's hard to go from eating to nothing but protein shakes and liquids. The headaches were bad also, but this week I am conquering this thing. I work Mental Health and I have already told people this is a mental things, sometimes I'm hungry in my head, but not my tummy. I have really experienced that in the last 10 days. There have been moments I simply craved food just because I wanted it, that's been the most difficult for me. I keep hearing others who have already had the surgery say that if I make until surgery then its much easier afterwards. I have also been blessed with an amazing amount of support, so much so I have been overwhelmed by it. I made to decision to share this on my Facebook page, and I have been shocked at the friends/family who have decided to cut out their weaknesses for 2 weeks, or even a month (pop, sweets, bread. etc..) It's been very touching to me. I have struggled with weight my entire life, however my weight bloomed the last years of my marriage and through a nasty divorce. I am mother of two wonderful sons, 19 and 13 and angel of a grandson who is 2. I finally decided if I didn't make some changes in my life I was going to die, and my kids need me. Sooooo, here I am
I am praying for some wonderful results, even knowing the road ahead will be rocky. Any and all suggestions welcome to help me succeed.
