SO hungry! 5 days post op

I'm currently 5 days post op, I started at 197, and I am currently down 15 lbs (pre-op diet included) to 182 lbs. The past few days I have been completely satisfied with broth and jello, but now that I am feeling better, I'm intensely craving REAL food. Have any of you experienced this as well? Are there other things to eat that I just haven't thought of for the 1 week post op liquid diet? If not, how did you deal with the hunger?!

you experiencing hunger because the swelling has gone down from the surgery. You will be hungry like that until you get your fill. Drink plenty or protein that will help with the hunger.

Stick with the Protein drinks. Soup actually helped to fill me up. I had cream of mushroom. The warmth almost feels like it expands in your stomach. Popsicles are good for something sweet. I've been there. Only banded for less than three weeks. My doc gave me go ahead with soft foods after week one because I told him about serious hunger pains. Good advice: make sure you are hungry and not just thinking if food. I was genuinely hungry. Do what doc says. Staying busy helped me to escape the hunger thoughts. Good luck!

I'm 3 days post op and I'm so much pain hunger isn't even on my radar. This does get better and stops burning right?

Up2me, around day 5 you'll feel fine. yes the pain n soreness goes away and within a week you forget you had anything done.

Yes! I promise it gets better! It wasn't until my 5th day that I was hungry at all. But when I finally got to that point, I was HUNGRY.

I had my surgery this past Friday! I'm feeling hungry to and nothing taste good! How long before I can have puréed food? And what's considered puréed?

Does anyone know if I can have almond milk?
