Just.Can't.Wait

So I've been lurking for a while & thought I would say "hi" today. I have my lap band consult scheduled for 9 days, 23 hours and 40 minutes from now. lol (Yes, I'm excited.)

I finally got the financing on track, which was a huge, emotional roller coaster. I've picked a doctor, and now I just can't wait to get the ball rolling so to speak. I'm so ready to start this next chapter of my life, and for the first time in a long time, actually feel good again. I'm so tired & low energy all the time. I've got so many blessings, a great husband, 2 beautiful toddlers... now I just need to fix myself.

I'm most excited about getting healthy and feeling fully present in my own life! I just can't wait. I love reading all of your stories and successes. They make me feel like I have a shot, too.

Anyway... Hi all! Can't wait to be a bandster.

Oh! And any pre-op advice would be greatly appreciated. I've read about the Gas strips already :)

Make sure they call in your after surgery meds ahead of time or arrange to have someone else pick them up for you. Walking out of surgery with scripts for pain meds and anti-nausea meds that you have no way of getting wouldn't be fun but I've heard of it happening.
