probably did not hurt your chances of surgerybut the surgery is to merely ready your insides for surgery by making the liver smaller..if you (cheated) now, you may start to think its okay to cheat aga

  • One screw up likely didn't derail you, but if you continue to ignore the doctors orders you will! For safety sake the doctor needs your liver to be smaller, it is for your life. I didn't have a pr

WOW!! Thanks everyone for all the reassuring words. This makes me feel a lot better. Like I said' date=' I have cheated but it was with good choices, like a salad with no meat whatsoever, and fat free low calorie dressing. I am so glad I found this forum, it means the world to be able to go through this with people that have been there and know what you are going through. My surgery is Friday the 21st and am so excited to get this done. Please keep me in you rprayers.[/quote']

Best of luck for fri had my surgery sat 15th at day 4 post op still a little sore but well worth it I am 2 lbs from my 1st stone off. ( Includes pre op diet time) This is enough to keep me motivated my pre op diet contained no shakes all healthy foods so don't panic about one slip up. Keep up the good work also I worried about the anaesthetic also but a walk in the park.

Mine was 2 Shakes a day & then chicken breast & lean veggies for 5-7 days!I cheated some and was fine. Surgery was the 4th of June & down 22 lbs so far.

I was dying on my pre-op diet so I called my doc and asked if I could eat something like olives or almonds and he was like, sure, knock yourself out...just make sure you are still losing weight.

Here is something that will motivate you or at least help you pass the time on the pre-op diet...I am watching Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. I like it...this poor soul has volunteered to be on a liquid diet for 60 days for the sake of his health and his film. Is he crazy?? I am only half way through the movie, but it is very good.

so what was the outcome did you get banded after the 14 days or did you have to wait longer because you cheated.....I'm freaking out becuase I want this done & over with I get banded in 4days & scared I will have to wait longer because I have cheated on my pre-op.

Nope. Had my surgery Friday morning. I had lost 17lbs and to be honest I cheated a few times but with just a bite or two when I did cheat. My surgery went really well they said.

Awesome! Congrats keep us updated. I start pre op Tues. And going to nascar race next weekend. Scared to death I'm going to want to cheat and I know I'm going to have a couple beers.
