Newbie Question - feel very weak

Hi y'all. Was just banded June 12, so it's been four days. Lost 25 pounds in pre-op diet and have lost 18 MORE since surgery 4 days ago (I have 200+ to lose).

I'm following the shakes and liquid diet, but I am so weak. Feel like I don't have energy to hold up phone, hands shaky, etc. Is this just from the drop in calories from 4000+ to 500? I just hate the way I feel.

Any insight would be helpful. Looking forward to this board.

Thanks.

Hi. I was banded June 11th. I was feeling very weak too. My bariatric nurse said to try protein shakes and pudding made with protein enhanced milk. It has helped tremendously. Go slow. I definitely felt a difference from clear liquids to full liquids. Good luck!!

it gets better once you start eating regular food. take your vitamins, eat your protein, drink lots of water, and get lots of rest.

Thanks for the input. I hope it gets better soon. It's really a lousy feeling.
