Hello everybody!!

I was finally banded on March 3rd, 2004. After many set backs (since Dec 2002) I am on the other side!! Although I really have not lost much weight, I am ok at the moment. After reading a lot of posts about pre-fill weightloss, it has kinda knocked me out of my depression. I have lost 5 lbs and that is more than I would have, had I not been banded.

My doctor was Hadar Spivak (formally out of Baytown). He just recently moved his practice to Houston on a full time basis. He has done over 600 bands and was one of the physicians who participated in the US Trials. I believed that he may have done some bands in Mexico before the Trials.

Just wanted to say hi and hopefully, we will hear from each other soon.

Hello~

Just remember this is your healing time. Your body will be adjusting to the band and if you lose GREAT but if you don't-do not get upset.

Most people don't really start losing weight until after there first fill.

If you have question post, Drink your Water and get in all your protien~

GOOD LUCK!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
